Ever wonder why pro athletes are so good? In this camp you will learn how scientific understanding and technological advancements continually improve athletic performance and safety. Learn the science behind bending a soccer ball, the role your brain plays and the physics behind rock climbing, and more. You’ll even get to text your understanding on an actual rock climbing wall!
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Ages: Grades 3-4
Registration: Members $240, nonmembers $265
Notes: Early drop-off starting at 8:00am – $20 per week; Late pick up 4:00-5:30pm – $30 per week

Waiting list
Camps fill up quickly. If the camp you’d like to register for is full, you can be added to the waiting list by e-mailing your name, phone number, and the name of the camp you’d like to register for, to camps@nvdm.org.
Financial assistance
The Discovery is pleased to offer financial assistance to support the educational needs of children from families that cannot afford the full cost of the museum’s camps. For more information, click here.
Cancellation/transfer policy
The Discovery has a no refund cancellation policy. There is a $20 fee to transfer between camps. If you need to transfer from one camp to another, from one week to another, or make any changes to your Camp Discovery registration, please call 775-398-5954 or email camps@nvdm.org. Please note, you can only transfer to a camp that still have space available.
