Teen Assistant Program

The Discovery is seeking friendly and enthusiastic teen volunteers to serve as assistants for Camp Discovery, the museum’s summer camp program for kids entering kindergarten through 7th grade.

Teen assistants at The Discovery will:

• Earn over 80 community service hours
• Gain experience working with kindergarten through 7th-grade students in a fun, hands-on, science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) learning environment
• Add to your resume for college

To become a teen assistant, you need to:

• Be entering 8th through 12th grade
• Be able to work a minimum of two full weeks during Washoe County School District’s summer break
• Have a letter of recommendation from a teacher
• Complete the Teen Assistant Program application
