When it comes to cancer research, there is power in numbers. With over 100 types of cancers, we need strong partnerships between scientists and patients – and community-based approaches – to develop personalized cancer therapies. Through large studies on genetics and cancer, clinical trials for new treatments, and patient donation of tissues for the purposes of science, researchers around the globe are making advances in cancer research that are bringing peace of mind to patients through science.
Our community is fortunate to be the headquarters of the Healthy Nevada Project, which partners with researchers internationally to make advances in cancer research through studies of genetics. In this event, our three speakers will share how better cures can result from large-scale population studies, immunotherapies, and clinical trials.
In a moment in history when the collective benefits of medicine are in the forefront of all of our lives, join use for this enlightening evening connecting large-scale research advances to personalized care.
This virtual edition of Science Distilled will be hosted via Zoom. To make sure you don’t miss it, we encourage you to register to attend.
