Camp Discovery Teen Assistant Program
The Discovery is seeking friendly and enthusiastic teen volunteers to serve as assistants for Camp Discovery, the museum’s summer camp program for 1st grade through 7th grade students.
Teen assistants at The Discovery will:
- Earn over 80 community service hours
- Gain experience working with kindergarten through 7th grade students in a fun, hands-on, science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) learning environment
- Add valuable experience to your resume
To become a teen assistant, you need to:
- Be entering 8th through 12th grade
- Complete a 15-minute Zoom interview
- Attend an in-person training
- Be able to volunteer a minimum of two full weeks during Washoe County School District’s summer break
