Science Distilled, the informal lecture series created by the Desert Research Institute (DRI) and the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) is taking to the airwaves! KUNR Public Radio’s new podcast titled “Science Distilled” gets its name and inspiration from the popular lecture series that makes cutting-edge science approachable through presentations on current and curious topics held at hip locations in a social atmosphere.
KUNR’s new podcast is perfect for science nerds and novices alike. Just like the lecture series, topics covered range from life with robots, to astrobiology, to the air we breathe. With every topic the podcasts covers, you’ll hear conversations with scientists doing the research and learn how that research impacts you and the world around us.
Sarah Gobbs-Hill, The Discovery’s Senior VP of Education & Exhibits manages the Science Distilled events series and had this to say about the new podcast:
“I am thrilled to see the Science Distilled series continue to evolve. We started the series with the hope of highlighting the amazing cutting-edge science and research happening in Northern Nevada. Now, I’m so proud to see this content reach an entirely new and wider audience.”
