Museum Operations Manager (Full-time)
The Museum Operations Manager is a vital member of The Discovery’s leadership team. Reporting to the President/CEO, the Operations Manager makes sure every visitor, educator, rental client, and program participant has an excellent experience with the museum.
The Museum Operations Manager’s first priority is the admissions and visitor services team. The Operations Manager supervises the Visitor Services team and sets front desk procedures, staffing levels, membership sales, and Altru standards. The Operations Manager also oversees all facility rentals and events, from selling and contracting to planning logistics and working with vendors and clients. As the main contact for all sales functions, the Operations Manager manages reservations, invoicing, and payments for field trips, seasonal camps, overnights, and birthday parties, and oversees daily Museum Store operations, including merchandise selection, inventory control, and promotion that support the museum’s mission and revenue goals. The Operations Manager develops and tracks the budgets for each of these areas and supervises the staff who support them.

Camp Discovery Lead Educator (Seasonal)
The Seasonal Camp Educator delivers engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences through week-long camps for students entering Kindergarten through seventh grade. This role facilitates inquiry-based science, technology, engineering, and math activities, fosters a safe and collaborative learning environment, and builds positive relationships within the camp community. Must be available December 28, 2026 through January 1, 2027.

Camp Discovery Assistant Educator (Seasonal)
The Seasonal Camp Assistant Educator helps to keep each day fluid and on track through helping to manage supplies, set-up, clean-up, and prep of activities. The Camp Assistant Educator also help teach activities as directed by their lead teacher, attend walking field trips as an extra chaperone and assist in the advance preparation of activities. Must be available December 28, 2026 through January 1, 2027.
