STEM Girl Bosses (Grades 6-7)
STEM Girl Bosses
Designed just for girls, this immersive STEM camp will spark curiosity and confidence through hands-on activities and real-world experiences. Campers will explore cutting-edge technology while visiting Tesla, discover the power of geothermal energy with engineers from Ormat while visiting Steamboat Power Plant, and dive into mechanical engineering—all while learning, collaborating, and seeing themselves as future STEM leaders.
Location: The Discovery, 490 S. Center Street, Downtown Reno
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Ages: Students entering grades 6-7
Registration: Members $290, nonmembers $315
Notes: Early drop-off starting at 8:00am – $30 per week; Late pick up 4:00-5:30pm – $45 per week

Waiting List
Camps fill up quickly. If the camp you’d like to register for is full, please join the wait list on the CampSite registration platform. When the wait list for a camp reaches 10 campers, we’ll open an additional session of that camp, space permitting.
Transfer, Cancelation and Refund Policy
The Discovery has a no refund cancelation policy. There is a $10 fee to transfer between camps. If you would like to transfer to another camp within the same week, from one week to another, or make any changes to your Camp Discovery registration, please call 775-398-5942 or email camps@nvdm.org. Please note, you can only transfer to camps that still have space available.
