The Discovery is a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program. The program is a network of ASTC member museums around the world that offer free or reduced admission to one another’s members who hold premium family memberships. Currently, more than 400 museums and science centers participate in the program.
Each institution has its own admissions policy, so call before you go to get the details. Also, reciprocity extends only to regular/general admission—it does not include free admission to additional attractions such as special exhibits, planetarium shows, simulator rides or giant-screen films. It also does not usually include museum store discounts.
Members Visiting from Other ASTC Museums
Members of other participating ASTC Passport Program museums can receive complimentary admission for up to four guests per membership, per visit. Visitors must present a valid membership card from their “home museum” that includes the ASTC Passport Program logo, and valid photo identification.
Reciprocal Admission Restrictions
Free reciprocal admission does not apply at museums within a 90-mile radius of your home museum and/or residence.
Free reciprocal admission does not include tickets to things such as special exhibitions, giant-screen theaters, planetarium shows or simulators.
Additional guidelines and information related to the Passport Program can be found on the ASTC website.
