Get ready to explore the world of sharks with The Discovery’s Museum Education Coordinator and Gills Club scientist, Maggie McClain. Participants in this hands-on exploration will learn about geological time, when sharks first appeared on Earth, and how we can use shark fossils to learn more about how they lived. Participants will also study fossilized shark teeth and make their own “fossil” imprint.
Note: Gills Club events are designed to inspire a passion for marine biology in young girls however, attendees of any gender are welcome.
