We are pleased to announce that The Discovery has reopened to the public 10:00am – 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We are excited to welcome you back to the museum and want to make you aware of some of the changes you can expect as we reopen.
The Discovery is currently in Stage I of the museum’s COVID-19 Response Plan and reopening. Here is how that will affect your visit:
- The Discovery is open Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00am – 5:00pm for general admission. The museum is open Monday through Friday for Camp Discovery participants only.
- To encourage social distancing, we are currently only allowing 100 visitors in the museum at any given time. If you arrive and the museum is at capacity, you may wait in the designated area outside the museum, making sure to remain six feet away from others in line.
- During Stage I and Stage II of The Discovery’s COVID-19 Response Plan, staff and visitors ages 5 and older are required to wear face covering while at the museum.
- Museum staff will be frequently cleaning and sanitizing the museum throughout the day. Museum spaces will be closed on a rotating schedule throughout the day for deep cleaning and sanitizing. Some exhibits may not be available due to cleaning sanitization limitations.
