Ask an Astronomer
Have a question about black holes, quasars, relativistic jets, or anything else interstellar? Ask our Visiting Expert from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Space Trivia
Put your space knowledge to the test in trivial challenge versus your fellow museum visitors. Whose intergalactic knowledge will reign supreme?

Night Sky Viewing
On the plaza outside the museum, gaze at the stars using a variety of galactic viewing devices provided by the Jack C. Davis Observatory, Fleischmann Planetarium & Science Center, and RenoAstro.

Invent a Rocketship
Humans have long endeavored to travel among the stars. To do so, we need innovative spaceships that go farther and faster than ever before. Visit Spark!Lab Smithsonian to invent a spacecraft using recycled materials, considering things like how it will be powered, where it will travel, who will be at the controls, and other important aspects of the mission.*

Create Galactic Slime
What do you imagine other planets are filled with? Hard rock, magma, or maybe slime! Using a selection of materials, you can create your own batch of galactic slime to take home.
*Some activities include access to tools and materials that can be dangerous if used improperly. Caregivers are encouraged to help young participants use the tools and materials safely.
