Sponsor an Event or Program

Your business can sponsor an exciting event or program that supports The Discovery’s efforts to inspire our community through hands-on science exploration.

There are many sponsorship opportunities to choose from, and each can be customized. Here are just a few:

• Chemistry of the Cocktail – The Discovery’s signature annual fundraiser
• Social Science – A quarterly event to engage in hands-on science, just for adults
• Science Distilled — An informal lecture series that makes cutting-edge science approachable

Match Employee Donations to The Discovery

As a business, are you willing to double or even triple your employees’ donations of cash or volunteer time to The Discovery?

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees, or match employee volunteer time with a corporate gift to the charity. Gifts from retirees and spouses may also qualify for a match.

Make The Discovery the Benefitting Charity of Your Event

Designate The Discovery as the benefitting charity for your company’s annual or quarterly event.

You will be supporting exciting hands-on science programming and exhibits for our community through your event. And The Discovery may be able to work with you to help cross-promote public events to help make it even more successful in supporting the museum’s mission.

Invite The Discovery to Apply for a Grant

Invite The Discovery to apply for a grant from your company that will support its mission to inspire through science education.

Many businesses have a philanthropic arm, either through a corporate foundation, or a community grant program. Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

You and/or a group of your colleagues can volunteer for a range of annual events and programming activities that may include the Leprechaun Race, Halloween Trick-or-Treat, Family STEM Nights, Social Science, Chemistry of the Cocktail, camps, and more.

This may include how many volunteers you are interested in helping to recruit, your company’s volunteer goals, and which season may be best for volunteering.
