“From science to insanity and back again”… Science is a pathway to adventure!
What does it feel like to be a scientist? Join us for a family-friendly TED-style talk on the places that science can take us, illustrated with stories and experiences by Ted Hartwell.
Bring your five senses as Ted shares his adventures in archaeology, comets and asteroids, community environmental monitoring, and more. He will share firsthand tales of the exciting journeys powered by science, which has led him on a path of lifelong learning, community stewardship, international archaeological work, and collaboration with Native American Tribes across Nevada.
This program is family-friendly and open to all, and the content presented is most suitable for those ages 9 and up.
Registration in advance is required to attend. We will hold three seatings of the same great program for this event, which will begin at 5:00, 6:15, and 7:30pm. Each session will start promptly, so please arrive on time for a fun and smooth program! Parking is available on the streets neighboring the store (metered until 6:00pm, free afterwards).
Presented free of charge as part of the Northern Nevada Science & Technology Festival.
