Teen Science Night
Join us for the first annual Teen Science Night, hosted and organized by The Discovery’s Teen Advisory Committee. Explore the entire museum and take part in a variety of cool science activities and demonstrations. 4th Annual Leprechaun Race
Are you faster than a leprechaun? Find out at the 4th Annual Leprechaun Race on Sunday, March 13th. This family-friendly 5K run/walk will take you on a tour through the streets of the Midtown and Wells Avenue neighborhoods. The race starts and ends at The Discovery and a portion of the proceeds go the museum!

2016 Scramble for Science
Join us for The Discovery’s inaugural “Scramble for Science” golf tournament on Friday, June 10, 2016 at one of Reno’s best known and most player-friendly venues, LakeRidge Golf Course. This fun, friendly tournament includes a raffle, hole-in-one challenge, and prizes for the top three teams. The Rotary Club of Midtown, Grassroots Books and The Discovery are on a mission to help children build their very own book collections. From 4:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 20th we will be providing free books to museum visitors. Once again, The Discovery is participating in the annual Midtown Art Walk. Book Signing: Thomas Darnell
Visit The Discovery to meet Thomas Darnell, author of “Biggest Little Photographer,” a book featuring photographs Thomas took during the one-year project he began at age 8. Thomas’ book proves what can be done when you combine perseverance, a passion for Legos, and a huge heart—truly a great story of the potential of Reno’s youth.
