Crazy, Colorful Paper Sculpture
Use your imagination to cut, fold, bend, roll or curl brightly colored paper into a three-dimensional work of art. Visiting Scientist: Alan Gubanich
Join Visiting Scientist Alan Gubanich for a look at a variety birds (taxidermy) and bird-related artifacts from around Northern Nevada. Visitors will learn about the habits of these birds and their diets. About Alan Gubanich Alan volunteers with the Lahontan Audubon Society, where he helps to preserve and improve the remaining habitat of birds and other wildlife, restores historical habitat, and educate the public, with emphasis on children, providing vision to all about our unique Nevada environments.

The Discovery at Barracuda
From Thursday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 5th, The Discovery will be part of the Barracuda Championship held at Montreux Golf & Country Club. The Kids STEAM Zone, presented by Circus Circus, is a big attraction just off the 9th green with fun for the whole family—interactive demonstrations, brainteasers, face painters, fun giveaways and golf themed science exhibits including 3D printers for creating cool objects.
